Strawberry Frosé with Coconut Palm Sugar Rim

One of our favorite, easy to throw together drinks for the summer. This Strawberry Frosé can be made alcohol-free for the kiddos by swapping out the Rosé for a fine sparkling grapejuice...yum!


There really couldn't be an easier cocktail to throw together on a hot summer day. This quick blended Strawberry Frosé will guarantee happy guests and instant brain freeze that really is a telltale sign you've got a winning cold beverage on your hands. Use an herb you prefer or whatever you happen to have on hand to lend the slight herbaceous addition to your creation.


An optional Coconut Palm Sugar Rim may get a bit hilariously messy on a hot day but it's tasty and entirely too good to pass up the chance to share it with you. Coconut Palm Sugar has long been one of my favorite baking ingredients and I use it for most recipes that call for sweetness. It has a deep rich taste like molasses, a fine dusty quality like crushed graham crackers and a sophisticated sweetness that actually has a lower glycemic index than white sugar. Find it in the baking aisle by agave nectar. This Frosé is fantastically delicious with or without the Sugar Rim either way!






Easy Strawberry Frosé with Coconut Palm Sugar Rim


For the Frosé:

10-15 large frozen strawberries

3 cups of Rosé wine

1 1/2 Tablespoons of a fresh herb (we used tarragon...our favorite!)

1 1/2 cups of Ice

Juice from 1/2 a lemon

Juice from 1/2 a large orange


Blend all of the Frosé ingredients until smooth, adding more ice for a thicker consistency if desired.


For the Sugar Rim:

1/2 cup Organic Coconut Palm Sugar

Juice from 1/2 a large orange


In one shallow dish, wide enough to place your cup into, add the orange juice. In another shallow dish add your coconut palm sugar. First dip your [unfilled] glass into the orange juice and then into the sugar.


Pour your blended Frosé creation into your rimmed glasses and serve with an herb garnish.
